On this blog, Saturday is Bacon recipe day. So no Excel tips and tricks today. Today we learn about bacon.

Jon Peltier and Chandoo are both planning to shake things up on their blog by introducing new features next year.

I’m proud to say that I too have a big announcement for the 2010 year. I’m making a commitment to post actual pictures of the Saturday Bacon Recipe.

Yes…I know…2010 will be great.

Here’s your first picture! These beauties are Turkey Bacon and Avocado sandwiches.

Turkey sandwiches are the traditional vehicle for getting rid of that left-over Christmas turkey. Why not fancy them up a bit with bacon!

2 slices of your favorite rustic bread (toasted and buttered)

1 avocado (peeled and sliced)

6 slices of bacon

2-3 slices of left-over turkey

Your favorite cheese (I use Swiss)

Avocado and Bacon. Proof that the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts.

Avocado and any meat, for that matter. I’m rather fond of pastrami.

Why did you have to go and ruin perfectly good turkey bacon with avocado for?

    Poor wasted bacon.

    Mr. Pig,
It appears that you finally have competition (in the world of Bacon). From CANADA, no less!

When I saw their TV ad for the “Republic of Bacon”, I thought of you. Check out http://republicofbacon.com/

Not sure of the content yet, but the concept, eh?
