On this blog, Saturday is Bacon recipe day. So no Excel tips and tricks today. Today we learn about bacon.
Today, I used RedBox for the first time. Redbox is a movie vending machine located outside of convenience stores. You put in your email address and credit card, then you can select any number of movies from the selection on the screen. The movie literally pops out of the machine. You return the movie to the machine when you're done.
It's pure genius. It's easy, no hassle, and the selection is decent. Plus, I don't have to deal with anyone with rings in their nose or green hair. Blockbuster is dead to me my friends.
Anyway, with so much movie watching, I searched for a recipe for Bacon Popcorn. I've been using this one with delicious results:
Lay 1 pound of bacon slices on a rack in a baking pan and top with 1/2 cup brown sugar
Bake at 400 degrees until crisp (about 12 minutes)
Chop the bacon into little squares
Make stove-popped corn using bacon drippings in place of oil
Toss the popcorn with the bacon, smoked paprika and salt
Note: Have lots of drinks on hand when eating this salty snack. After a few bowls of this, you'll start feeling the effects of dehydration.
since you used it for the first time, there are promo codes that you can use out there. just google it.
a couple of quick ones are:
breakroom
dvdonme
you can use each of those codes on each of your debit/credit cards. so if you have 4 cards, that would be 8 rentals.
Rich: Cool tip! Thanks!

Hey I couldn't find a way to drop you an email, so here it comes as a comment – as a Bacon and Office lover, you might be interested in the Mmmvelopes. From their commercial pitch:
"So, after thousands of years and kajillions of horrible tasting envelopes licked, we’re happy to report that J&D’s Bacon-Flavored Mmmvelopes™ are here to save the day. No longer will envelopes taste like the underside of your car. You can enjoy the taste of delicious bacon instead."

Great article, and many thanks for taking the time to publish it; I'm sure other readers benefited as wel. It really opened my eyes for some new ideas that I hadn't thought of before.
