Peanut Butter Bacon Sandwich

On this blog, Saturday is Bacon recipe day.  So no Excel tips and tricks today.  No, today we learn about bacon.

Now,  none of these recipes are my original recipes, but I guarantee you I’ve tried each one at least once.

Since this is the inaugural Saturday, I’ve got to start with the classic Peanut Butter and Bacon Sandwich.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • 3 Slices of Wheat bread (wheat holds up better when smooshing the bacon in)
  • 8 tablespoons Peanut butter
  • 1 ounce Bacon grease
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 8 strips of Bacon

  1. Cook the Bacon and set aside some of the bacon grease
  2. Combine peanut butter, cinnamon and bacon grease in a saucepan until soft and warm.
  3. Spread peanut butter mixture on two pieces of bread (the third piece of bread will go in the middle of these two)
  4. Layer 4 strips of bacon on each of the two pieces of bread.
  5. Stack the pieces of bread together (place the third piece of bread in the middle of the two dressed pieces).
  6. Enjoy!

Notes: Keep 6 Aspirin handy as a blood thinner in case you have a heart attack while eating.

Perfect timing…here in New Zealand, it’s hangover day (we’re a day ahead less four hours, and Saturday night is officially ‘binge drinking’ night).

If the fatty food doesn’t help, the aspirin will.

    Thanks

ps. If you intend to work through various bacon bits, can you pre warn me when testicles are up (whoops…almost a bad pun there) so I can drink far less during binge drinking night.
