Meat Bowls

On this blog, Saturday is Bacon recipe day. So no Excel tips and tricks today. Today we learn about bacon.

Fellow Excel MVP, Ed Ferrero, pointed me to this very cool picture. I call it meat world – a place where a man can live off the fat of the land (literally).

After Ed’s picture, I was in the mood for more bacon-related product.

In my quest, I ran into meat bowls by Megan of Not Martha.

This is not a recipe per se. It’s more like….a utility that makes salad bearable. You can read her blog if you want the gory details, but the gist is:

Step 1: Use an upside down muffin tin to shape the bacon.

Step 2: Cook the bacon in the oven at 400 degrees until crisp.

Step3: Ruin your creation by putting salad into it.

Note: I’m going to fill my bowls with scrambled eggs and cheese.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

I realize I have long forgotten at least one group to whom I should give thanks onThanksgiving Day.

They are the inventor geniuses who have made bacon (“the most beautiful thing on earth”) the “fairy dust of the food community” as expressed by Jim Gaffigan.

Well, not this year! I will atone.
