On this blog, Saturday is Bacon recipe day. So no Excel tips and tricks today. Today we learn about bacon.
In the DataPig household, every other Sunday is "special cereal day". This is a day when the kids get to eat any sugary cereal they want. We normally don't let them eat that junk, but every other Sunday, they get to have the breakfast of their dreams (Cocoa Puffs, Lucky Charms, Sugar Smacks, etc…). I offer them "special cereal day" so they'll let me live with them when I'm old.
Anyway, on "special cereal day", I get to have a special breakfast too. I get to have French Toast Bacon Sandwiches.
Here's the basic instructions:
- Cook up some French Toast
- Cook up some Bacon
- Lay 6 strips of bacon on one piece of French Toast
- Pour on some Maple Syrup
- Place another piece of French Toast on top of the Bacon and Syrup
- Pick up the sandwich and take your first heavenly bite
YUM!
Note: I sometimes add peanut butter to the sandwich when I'm feeling especially gluttonous.
Recipe suggestions:
Make sure it's real Canadian (or Vermont, if you like) Maple Syrup. The difference is worth it.
And why (why, why) are we not covering the second slice of French Toast in Maple Syrup as well?? For shame.
